Kateryna is a skilled product designer with a Bachelor of Arts from the Weißensee Academy of Art Berlin. With more than two years of experience as a freelance product designer and project manager at Berliner Stadtreinigung (BSR), she has developed a solid foundation in the industry.
Proficient in tools such as Rhinoceros 3D, Keyshot, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, MS Office, and Figma, Kateryna is fluent in German and English and also speaks her native languages, Ukrainian and Russian.
Kateryna offers a range of services, including identifying solutions to specific problems, generating innovative ideas, and creating variations of concepts. She specializes in 3D modeling, visualization and prototyping tools. Additionally, she excels in project management, communication with manufacturers and engineers, and bringing products to realization.
With a collaborative approach and a focus on practical design, Kateryna is dedicated to bringing ideas to life and transforming concepts into functional, aesthetically pleasing products.
Design Philosophy
As a designer, Kateryna Borysiuk places great importance on understanding the relationship between people and both physical and digital objects. She is keenly aware of the habits and routines of individuals in their daily lives, striving to comprehend their lifestyles and needs. By examining how various objects are used daily, she seeks to simplify or transform these interactions through her designs. Her focus on user interaction and experience ensures that each product, whether physical or digital, not only meets functional requirements but also provides an intuitive and engaging experience for the user.
Work experience
Freelance Product Designer & Project Owner (since 2022)
In collaboration with Berliner Stadtreinigung, Kateryna is working as a Freelance Product Designer and Project Owner. She is involved in product development and prototyping, working closely with engineers and manufacturers to bring ideas to life. Her project management skills ensure the successful completion of four prototypes. Her innovative work was showcased as an exhibitor at the “Woche der Umwelt 2024” in Berlin, highlighting her commitment to environmental sustainability and design excellence.
Sentisina – Product Designer (2020–2021)
At Sentisina, Kateryna contributed as a Product Designer, where her tasks included generating concepts for new products, conducting research, sketching, rendering, 3D modeling and printing. Her creative and technical skills were instrumental in developing innovative product solutions.
